There are endless opportunities to learn at our practice, so experience is appreciated but not a requirement.
Veterinary Assistants play a very important role in making sure our patient care is the best it can be.
That being said, we are looking for candidates that exhibit responsibility and great work ethic.
As a veterinary assistant, you can expect to be very hands on with the patients.
Some of the tasks you will perform in this position are:
-Caring for patients that are boarding with us.
-Proper restraint for patients during vaccinations, blood draws, IV placements, doctor's examination, etc.
-Looking after patients recovering from surgery, monitoring hospitalized patients after treatment, etc.
-Making sure every animal has a clean cage/run, water, food, etc.
-Baths, nail trims, anal gland expressions, etc.
-Walking each patient 3-4 times a day.
-Learning basic veterinary information and tasks to help with appointments that do not require an exam with a doctor.
Pay may vary based on experience and workmanship.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
