LSF is looking for a talented Activities Coordinator who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.
Purpose and Impact:
The Activities Coordinator will organize and coordinate a variety of activities for all residents served through the Hands of Mercy Everywhere residential program.

Essential Functions:
Plan, coordinate, attend, and supervise all activities such as games, holiday celebrations, picnics, sporting events, birthdays, dances, and dinners.
Creates shopping/wish lists for events and purchases items within budgetary guidelines.
Coordinates or provides transportation for residents to promote resident participation in program events.
Assist with producing a calendar of events while ensuring to stay within budget expectations; prepare monthly and annual activity budgets as requested.
Set-up and clean-up before and after events.
Maintain a balance sheet for each activity showing income, expenses, attendance, and vendors used.
Works closely with Community with Community Engagement Manager and Education and Life Skills Director to recruit for volunteers and donors to sponsor events.
Assist with training and supervising activities team members and volunteers.
Maintain accurate office and activity supply inventories.
Ensure all equipment and supplies are kept in good condition.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds and participate in local travel.
Education:
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or G.
E.
D.
equivalent.
Experience:
Some experience preferred in providing event planning and/or recreation services for youth in a residential care setting.
Skills:
Must possess current and valid Florida driver's license.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexible schedule evenings and weekends.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
Principal Accountabilities:
Reports to Education and Life Skills Director.
Team player with co-workers, administrators, community agencies, and school personnel.
Adherence to agency policies and procedures.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
